we're now a whole lot more educated on inguinal hernias. we now know they can bulge out at any time, like when you're in the car picking up your brother from the bus stop, after sitting on the potty, or just from standing, i guess for too long. who would have known in these two days time they are also under control more. both lying down and calming down helps, tremendously. then i have colin make his own lunch and keep busy while i stay like that for a bit. ;)

nonetheless surgery is not until next thursday. and we're sorry colin to say we're looking forward to it. plus he'll be happier to proceed with life as it was before.

we didnt venture to church today for ash wednesday due to C's bubble yet i found myself connecting with God all day just as well. He doesn't throw me many curve balls, in fact i usually consider us on the same team, but this week He was like, "kim. think fast." He's keeping me on my toes showing me my kids and family are vulnerable too. a tiny and easily rectified reminder of truer tragedies other families face. didn't take me long to realize that. we're blessed.

Sorry to hear about Colin...made me think of my Logan lying there in a hospital gown. When Logan had his hernia's done not long after coming home, they were so simple. I was so impressed with how little they have to do to get the job done and what tiny mark they leave for only a short time! Good Luck Colin!! PS..the hard part is waiting until next Thurs.!!
