my boys have inherited my first day jitters. aiden couldn't eat dinner monday night nor hardly touched his breakfast yesterday. otherwise he internalizes it well and let's his excitement try to win over. i didn't follow the bus this year, figure i'll do that every other year - for kindergartners only. his first words off the bus yesterday, "it was AWesome". he got the strict teacher (they find out the first day). which i told him i didn't think was just a coincidence. two a lot to talk about filled days in hold promise of a great year. (let's hope).

new school rule this year that i Love, lunch in the cafeteria seats boys on one side of the table and girls on the other.

mr. B had his first day today. after i woke him, he told me how he didn't want to go/get out of bed, that i shouldn't have signed him up for this like it's a parks & rec class. he didn't give me too hard a time just figured he'd take a shot at it, see what i'd say i suppose. as we drove to school, i pictured putting him on the bus next year and could only imagine his nerves then. for the kids in his class, a parent accompanies them their first shortened day which helped big time and naturally, he loved it. this year, as opposed to a few years back when he was one of only 2 boys, he has 6 other boys and 3 girls as classmates. i'm super excited for him about that.
