today included a lot of dvred Olympic watching and disassembling.

brett gave me this aiwa stereo system the second christmas we were together, back in 1994. needless to say it no longer works well, namely the cd player. who needs the double tape player and the bulk is certainly not worth the radio.

instead of the scrap heap i gave it to the boys this morning.

naturally they loved getting to be able to unscrew actual screws, take this thing apart piece by piece, see what the heck was inside it, notice that this piece allowed the tape player opener things to stay closed-no more...

we kept it out all day and had on and off thunderstorms, including 1 power outage so it ended up being a great rainy day activity in between swim competitions and women's gymnastics.

i know i got carried away with my picture uploading, but they were really into it.

and sometimes when the sun came out my pictures started to improve.

all the unscrewing had to have helped brady with his left from his right, "righty tighty, lefty loosey".

one thing i won't miss when the summer is over, dirty feet.

and here's the bread.
