yeah well. we're going crazy here and if bird watching is my new thing that redirects me for a few than so be it. i actually borrowed a bird book to at least educate myself on these guys' names. the red fellows were new to us today. or at least i never noticed them before. were these the chaps colin and i heard this morning while we ate our daily maple sugar cream of wheat? a new sound to him who still does not believe that birds even go tweet tweet. he's appeasing me with the "yea just like the cow moos right lady". for my canadian reader, the other is a bluejay but i have yet to open the book to find the mr. little red.

we're really reaching a lot around here. my creativity is there but i'm feeling as caged up as the boys and just don't wanna anymore. i think i have even started whining like them. the darn winter needs to end.

the part that's making it worstest. ;) (we've been reading junie b. books, a kindergartener with not that good of grammar who aiden likes to correct and i like that aiden corrects) is that they are no longer cooperating with me. they're not working with me or following my rules anymore. they're fighting against each other, they're making me come up with new rules. here's one new one. staggered mealtimes. yea, i now feed one breakfast, then the other. one lunch, then the other. i can't take the two of them across the table from each other going batty anymore.

i've debated whether i should jot down all that brady questions in a day. maybe i'll just do a morning or simply while aiden is in school as that doesn't seem so overwhelming as all. day. we got to the point this weekend that we told him the sky was green. a.) because he's driving us to the nutshouse and b.) because everything is up for a discussion and a debate and to be fought over and battled about with him. i have recently questioned googleing 3 year old mental state or something because i do need something to reel me in on some more patience with him or to be more in tune with him. i will give him that he is consistent (it never ends), reliable (you know what he's going to say in response to most everything) and when i close my ears he's still (kinda) cute.

i know, it sounds simple and like the poor kid needs a little more attention maybe. oh these constant attention seekers! personally i think he gets enough but ok if i were a 3yo... so since A's been going to the lowe's saturday workshops (and the diner) with daddy lately brady got to go to the home depot one (and the beer store) with daddy as it's not as often as lowe's. it was a little more than thrilling for this little boy scout.

see a trend with colin's pictures here? i think i posted a familiar one to this recently. well if you saw the new thing he does with his milk in a straw cup, the little twist of the wrist and shake thing. up, down, up, down. and then the look he makes up at me right after, you'd put him in there to nip it in the bud too. it's all an act this bit, please don't feel too sorry for him.

besides he got another pair of shoes. the cutest littlest size of crocs i have ever seen! actually we made it a family affair and crocced us out. we do that here, do things a little late. i am sure they are totally out by now, but it took us this long to like them.

to show how looney we've gotten we made a (doll)house out of the box that the My-p-s (as Aiden called it back when) man brought our crocs in. i keep seeing some'em like this online and in print and liked the idea. we had a lot of fun making it actually. the kids found different stuff they wanted in their rooms, got excited about it when i'd be like "yea! sure!", it took a long time to do. we could've gone on and on actually. aiden wanted an upstairs, ehh i nixed that idea. see brady's room on the left in the second picture? yea he picked that out all by himself. he was able to choose any room he wanted out of land of nod, pbk and company store catalogs and he choose the prettiest one. a little background here. brady's preschool class has about 12 children in it. he and philip are the only boys. i get the feeling that my loving and peacekeeper brady doesn't like poor little philip even. when i heard that all of these pretty little bow-wearing, princess and dora loving, cute as a button misses were outnumbering brady i was rather excited. brady had no idea what color pink was before september and we could definetly use a little girly inspiration in this house. the weight is too much for me to carry at times and they bring me with them to the other side sometimes.

this kid is cracking too. he is literally starting to lose it. nevermind the innocence here.

thank God, it is now March.

For those 3 year old questions... Ask "why do you think... the sky is blue?" It's fun to hear the answers, and in our house it did help a little. If nothing else they were busy coming up with their own answers long enough to avoid one more question. I love reading your blog. Thanks for sharing.

I was going to say the exact same thing as Jami. They come up with the greatest answers that make the question just a little less annoying!

Thanks for the Blue Jay SO. LOL They are pretty, but I'd still love to see a Cardinal. We have those little red birds too...finches I think? They like the nyger seeds we put out. So do the gold finches.

Love the house idea and especially B's take on it. LOL He'll make a good husband to a real girly girl some day. Does he want to marry Sydney?

That's right. They are simply red finches.

I've already started in on B and it is better, plus he's like 'what's with the 20 ques mom, i'm supposed to be doing all the asking'-HA!

Sydney gives the "I'm a kid, that's my job" answer (from Big?) when we ask her why she asks soooo many questions. The humour sort of difuses the annoyance a little.
