this summer has been The Best weatherwise. for sunflowers too.



before school finished i asked aiden what he wanted to do this summer. he responded "lake, lake, and lake." which is pretty much what we've been up to. no camps and all play. i forget his response to 'what about on the days it rains?' but that hasn't become an issue. yet, i've had this cold/allergy thing going on for a bit (since june 30th) and could actually use a week of the 70s.



just for doing the stuff you don't want to do in 90 degree heat. but i am Not complaining.



another summer Best has been the boys' dynamic. their ages (3.5, 5.5, and 7.5) allows for things to go just swimmingly. colin's old enough to keep up and aiden's young enough still to want to. if there was a time to freeze it would be now.

brady learned to whistle this summer, he breathes in instead of out but it's effective. and he does it All The Time without realizing so i like that he's whistling in this picture.

colin does his version of a whistle too, a high-pitched short squeal. it's actually cute even though when described it does not sound so.

ill have to post some things we've been up to since april 13th (my last post) which ought to give me enough material to stick around again. i do like having this to look back on.

today we didn't do much of anything since im feeling like crap but this field not too far out of our way was so worth getting out of the house for. not to mention feeling under the weather with three children + not doing much of anything = a headache.

it certainly made me feel better.
