church at 745 the next morning which makes the day long but worked out great since the boys were up at 630.
as usual for colin he got up late night to use the bathroom. EB hadn't come but he remembered and questioned if he had. then went onto mumble how was he going to need a flashlight, did he carry a flashlight with him, could we leave ours out for him...
breakfast at my parents' and then home to host dinner/egg hunt.
don't my teenage nephews look so cute holding pastel baskets? ;) in their defense they were only interested in the golden ($20) egg.
with 1/2 of the boys not into candy. not mine of course, and if i didn't know them personally i wouldn't believe it either. i didn't want to do candy in the eggs. i've done change, have another idea (for next year), and while i really hate balloons in the vicinty of children... like with every little recall that comes out it's a wonder balloons and those damn nickel-sized bouncy balls aren't on the list. still i knew this would be fun and there'd be plenty of adult supervision and there aren't any too littles around anymore.
these long skinnies you let go once blown up and they whiz around all over. the anticipated fun would have lasted a good 2-4 minutes if my neighbor hadn't had come to the rescue with a bajillion mile long hose on his air compressor.
