Stone Harbor 2009

i have way too many pictures from vacation and i'm going to show almost all of them. my photographic intentions on this trip were to preserve even more memory for the boys of the place we look forward to returning to as we leave every year. while i could have taken even more i think i did a good job of what i set out to accomplish. i'm going to share them over several posts so i (and you) don't get burnt out.

we had to switch out of the house we have stayed in the past 3 yrs this year. the one we found while it was 2 more blocks from the beach and 2 more from town, had what no other house we've stayed at had, a pool. as predicted this proved to be a highlight of our week since at home we have no access to ANY pool.

these taken from the master, brett and my bedroom deck above the pool.

brett, naturally was our resident bartender. pomegranate martinis with orange vodka were the specialty drink of the week. at one point, a trip was made for more orange vodka (as was one for more martini mix) to find upon returning home the vodka must have been left IN the shopping cart. the heineken, bud and sam made it home but none of the orange. we pondered the scenerios of that vodka. did the shopper actually purchase it and is this just fiction to cover the truth? will it get picked up by an underager in the parking lot? did a good samaritan return it to the counter? should we return and ask? how else would they know it's rightful owner. Alas the last turned out to be true!

white boy.

sneakin' a snooze. the pops.

fred's had visors this year.

the 5th annual big grandma's pasta night.

where everyone ate an extra meatball on uncle kevin and aunt amanda's behalfs who weren't able to join us this year and were greatly missed!

Monday.
boys' breakfast at the counter.

julie and julia in the kitchen of course.

aiden, domino ready.

a view of the bay this year.

my handsome. whose hair i will not cut, not even for school.

poolside. it took a day and a half for me to tell brady he could take off his life jacket if he felt comfortable. that it would be just like swim class, although he hasn't been since the spring. he's been used to swimming at the lake all summer and he wears it in the deepend so he can swim out to the docks independently with confidence.

he blew his daddy away with his skill level. daddy has not been to swim lessons in a long time. brady outswims aiden in some ways. he's awesome!

goggles were permanent attire most times as many rounds of find the rock or bottlecap were enjoyed.

goofy pop after a round of golf. all 3 tied. not too sure what that says for either of them. wednesday they'll play again for bragging rights.

big gamma.

someone's up from his nap and ready for a swim.

the rest of monday - saturday later.
