Yesterday, the memas and the pops came for a combined birthday dinner for brett and colin, who share the same birthdate later this week.

i cannot believe colin has only a few days left of being 1. may sound cliche, but where has the time gone? and seems like yesterday...

on cue, he's been acting like a total big boy too. he gave up his bedtime paci about a week ago. he's been filling out his clothes a lot more now, venturing out on new food horizons AND calling them by name, "(sa)lami". even appropriately saying "p(l)eas(e)" without being told.

but nothing makes a father prouder than when his son is old enough to go and get him a "beer" all by himself.

makes colin pretty proud that he can finally give something back to his dad after all this time too.
