i think i should make a new banner with this photo. i like it. it shows all the boys in motion too. that's more true to life. my boys are rarely ever still, especially not all 3 at one time despite what some photos appear to show.

this week has brought us a new camp and thus a new routine. i actually love reconfiguring all of our routines/schedules. who's with us this week? how can we make the most of that? what do we Have to do this week? where can we have our fun? this week is tennis camp for A. only 45 minutes each of the 4 days. most of these camps are through our town's fabulous parks & rec dept so they're so affordable. Aiden always asks to play tennis but hello, he hasn't ever played. when i saw they offered it, in bite sized portions i jumped on it.

monday he woke up a lovely shade of pale white. basically, he couldn't go. i'll spare the details. except the sad fact that he actually said to me "being sick is kinda fun. i get to hang out with just you more." is that a cry for one on one time or what? well, at least he's a good patient.

tuesday we made it to tennis and he Loved it. afterwards he wanted me to let him play tennis in the adjacent field? "no." at the lake? "no, you play tennis on a tennis court." in aiden's way he loved it so much he was mad at me. only he can turn it around to this. mind you with the best intentions he says "if you hadn't told me about this camp, and signed me up, sent me. if you hadn't of brought me here, i would have never played and i wouldn't have had so much fun and loved it so much. i also wouldn't have wanted to play all the time now." i never win.

today was rained out. tomorrow i'm sure the same. oh well.

it's allowed us to not have to be someplace early this week though which is a nice little change and let's us kick it old school a little. that combined with me trying to keep the boys separated (not an easy task) and content monday while pukeboy did his thing in isolation, we revisited playdough.

so funny to see the playdough personalities of these 3. first child still follows my initial rule of no combining colors despite everyone else combining colors, and makes "candy" for a store. brady likes to use every accessory we have, the rollers, the molds, scissors, and my favorite, the hair growing tools, except the mr. potatohead like ones. third child is allowed to sit on the table, open (every) container(s) with his teeth, pull out all playdough, to eventually give up on playdough completely and play only with the highly fought over, completely dull, appetizer knifes turned playdough kitware.

this kid gets away with so much and i know it.
