he's been an awesome little boy, and then he went to the "year to grow" preschool program last september, one with a much higher boy to girl ratio than in the past. he picked up a lot of these other little year to grow boys' behaviors. a lot of whining. a lot of crying. a lot of at the drop of a hat behaviors, very unbradylike. as a seasoned mother to the littles though, ;) i knew this was a phase. i had been through this when aiden went to goddard. every few months younger kids came into his room, he acted like them (bad) and when he moved up to an older kid room, he then acted like them (good).
well. i was 1000% right. enter preschool graduation day. since aiden('s) was my first, a slight deal was made. preschool-schmeschool graduation, i wanted brady doted on too. his grandparents (all 4 of them came, even little pop who "doesn't do graduations until highschool"), most localest aunt who kept her promise to brady from aiden's last year's kindy grad came, i pulled aiden from school early (big deal to aiden!), bought b a new shirt, and had him wear his next year's (aiden's old) uniform pants, belt and shoes (big deal to brady!) and his baptism cross of course.
last year when a lot of brady's classmates left the 4yo prgm for K i thought how brady was so unready for K. well, what a difference a year makes! always my shy guy, his confidence glowed today! and he felt so special a big deal was being made for him.
after, we all went out to his lunch choice,
and naturally his aunt spoiled him which ended up being "his favorite part".
point being, i have my brady back! ever since this very day he has returned to the kind, gentle, affectionate, rule abiding, acting more his age+, neat with his things, larger appetite, nonwhiney, noncrying over stupid stuff, self motivating, better brother, safetypup that he his. i love him this way and now he's so ready and Excited! for kindergarten.
