isn't much more that could bring a smile to my face more easily than this right now. i look at it and smile. look at it. smile. colin's first people. and he draws enough of these to inhabit a small town almost every day. some have hair, some have feet. and i have a smile.

he's also spelling and writing his name. this really shocks me because did i show & tell him once. brady was definetly not like this and aiden, he may have been but to be perfectly honest i'd have to refer to official documentation because it's almost as if he wasn't ever three. i admit, i forget. anyway, ill have to get a pic of his name. for documentation purposes.

brady is getting so much older lately and proving it to me in multiple ways everyday. today he had to do a placement interview for Kindy. a year ago he would have never left my side to go with the teacher, he would have never spoken up loud enough to be heard by her and he would have never been able to answer any of the questions. today he made me so proud because not only did he not do all those things (wow lots of double negatives there but you're following right?), he did them with confidence and knocked it out of the park.

he also told me that i was "a mean mom for making him look stupid at school" though.

GULP. sigh. mental listing all things which i may have done that could be taken as stupid to a 5yo in the past month.

seems some of his classmates mention his hair. guess those poker-straight, dirty water-brown haired kids have never seen a crewcuts catalog before. sorry, mamabear. brady was clearly saddened by this and i'll bet it's been going on for a while because he's always talked about not liking his curls. i always thought comments from just adults embarressed him. after i explained alllll about why he was more awesome than awesome and everything that encompasses this kind of thing, i told him we'd go for a haircut after getting aiden from school (another kid who needed one bad but didn't want one!).

now instead of just acting like a big kid he's looking the part. but then we went to gamma's for dinner so i don't have a pic.

mr. incolinal update** vomiting (was told i need to call the doctor if this happens) ensued due to excessive obstruction last friday night bringing us to ER AGain. sigh. exhaustion/carride relaxed him for it to reduce on it's own upon our arrival therefore... sending us home. is it freaking early friday morning yet??!
