update on richter

we came home to richter not doing so well. both ears are now swelled. we're not sure if the bandage has caused the other one to swell or has it done so naturally. the vet will be here later. he's pretty mopey and looking sadder than usual. told the boys why richter is heavy in our hearts and minds now. how surgery is risky and possibly his next step, what could happen. we want to think rationally, we normally do. brett and i keep exchanging sad faces. he's 12.5, clearly in pain, needs surgery... my mind isnt letting me go anywhere else today.
