so, richter is doing awesome! yesterday he had a slow start but by midafternoon he was up and doing his normal thing. even back to bugging the boys and barking at nothing outside. it was so nice to have him bark at nothing again.

what he had was called aural hematomas. he had them in each ear by the time he went in monday. big earred dogs flapping their ears can cause an artery to break which is what started the fluid buildup. once the surgery was over i was worried about them filling up again but it looks like we're out of the woods maybe.

he is such the trooper and i am so proud of him.

today was a GorGeous Fall Day. Windy as all hell but gorgeous gorgeous and it helped to be in the sun. two little boys, although aiden would have liked too, wanted to go to a baseball field. so there we went.

then brady had enough of the wind, so we had to leave.



good day despite the second guessing everything i do and taking the shortcomings of my children personally and as a reflection of my parenting. occupational hazard right? ending the day as a mean mom and damn you for saying my applesauce and cakepops weren't any good. i remember reading once how ONE way some boys are different from girls is that boys don't try to please. for example, girls who are good in school sometimes are because they try to do the right thing in the eyes of their teacher or parents. my boys don't try to do that. ever. the days they don't throw me the littlest of a bone can sometimes make me ... make me want to go right back to New Hope. thank the Lord i was there just this weekend.
