the juicer

yup, ive got one of these. im a huge fan too. it was given to me on my favorite mother's day by my babies' daddy. oh that sounds sad that my favorite mother's day was when my first was still in utero, doesn't it? well it was. brett wrote me some really beautiful words in a card he gave me during my breakfast in bed (im sure i requested it. and see, haven't had that in years.) AND juiced my oj in this very juicer. then rewrapped it because he knows how i like something to unwrap.

anywho, we went to the juicer today. the only boy who's ever shared this love affair with me is colin. he's a smootie with ice guy. under the premise that kids might more likely try something they help make, this is what we did. in brady's defense, he doesn't like apple juice no matter.

we got a little creative since he wanted to still juice after the first 4 apples so we added carrots. only i like carrot-apple juice. then i suggested apple, ice, banana (to the blender we went) and yogurt. again just me and colin.

yesterday when brady asked aiden to guess what we made for dessert (the caramel apples) aiden guessed apple ice cream? apple fruit roll ups? before he got it. pts for the ideas though aiden, thanks! so we juiced about 8 more apples getting 4 cups of juice. i cooked it down adding only a tsp of vanilla then into a not well prepared edged cookie pan and a 250 oven and forgetaboutit. it's a complete mess, aiden actually said, it's too sweet but i surprisingly really liked it. super sweet and no sugar. overall a flop though.



then the traveling vet came.



richter's got this big pierogi for an ear. :( we noticed it friday night. he doesn't show any signs of pain but dogs are like that.

so i had to call mrs. traveling vet because the last time richter went to the vet we almost lost him with all the anxiety he had, which he's never done.



he was such a good boy for the mrs. though. exhausted now but good boy. we chose the nonsurgical option and will hope it works. he's all bandaged up and we'll pray the bandage doesn't come off for a little bit.



then as promised to the boys. bobbing for apples but of course.



these two are such cheaters. and aiden's so good it's no fun with him.

we have only a small bag of apples left...
