when aiden was 5 months old he started daycare. there was another baby boy 1 month older than him, joey under miss sarah's care as well. joey and aiden were baby friends and then toddler friends up until they were 2.5 yo when mama bear pulled aiden from miss sarah's loving arms for a more frills, new local daycare. fast forward 3.5 yrs later and joey and aiden have been reunited at kindergarten. joey gave lite bright to aiden for his birthday. mama bear has a special place in her heart for joey.

they went ahead and improved another toy of the 70-80s. (rolling eyes) i suppose the clunkier machine i grew up with could have been more streamlined, but it definetly has a cheaper feel. no matter, the kids don't know right? afterall it's for the kids. i'm sorry safer or not, batteries can't beat good old electric though, they should have called this one, less bright.

can you tell what aiden made there on the left? don't look below where i will tell you, guess. c'mon you know aiden. see them, there are two, side by side. know now?

darth vader's and luke skywalker's light sabers of course.

kinda related, we stopped by mema's again today afterschool, for some "meals on wheels" this time. i love my mom. and hmm guess who just happened to remember how i recently told him uncle kevin recently told me that his old star wars figures were in mema's basement.

some theme song of my early years played in my background as i discovered the box labeled Kevin #3 that these were sitting in late this afternoon.

we called uncle kevin for aiden to hear for himself how precious these little jedis and droids are. my picture taking is for practical reasons here, so we know what belongs and is to be returned to uncle kevin at some point in future's time.

i forgot that luke and darth's light sabers were "renected" (as brady would mistakenly say more so to bust my chops since i've corrected him often). now is when kevin's packrat tendenacies pay off.

Too bad the SW guys are UK's because I bet my DH would trade our original Lite Brite for them!!

I got Tyler a Lite Brite for Christmas last year and did not want the flat screen one for just that reason. There is a cube/4 sided one also that only plugs in. Much better. And, more than one can play at once! ;-)
