After school cookie monsters.
- Tootsie Pops. Without Colin's 1st Post-Haircut Tootsie Pop that was given to him prior to the haircut purposefully, it would not have gone as superbly. The haircut itself? Thankfully, hair grows back. He loved the Tootsie Pop though and ate the whole darn thing before I could even question or monitor.
- My On-Call Mother. This 'semester' as it shall be called I packed the calendar with several children driven events, some of which include only 1 child. There's rules about a lot of this stuff and no matter, siblings are not always allowed. With my Mom's agreement I took the chance on seeing how this would go, relying on her like this. Here my Mom is in Fl visiting KevinandAmanda for a few days and we are missing out on a lot of our stuff. Didn't realize how much we were depending on her lately.
- Brett & my 9th wedding anniversary yesterday, which means we're thinking of maybe taking advantage of our 10th as being a BIG ONE, since the boys will all be another year older, and possibly planning a trip!
- That my boys love to be read to. Makes me think that it may be pretty sad when all 3 become readers someday and I can't read to them or peruse the children's section of the library as much. Although maybe by that time the shelves will have nothing new to offer me and it will be nice to get into some reading of my own? Hmm. Some good surprise kind of finds lately have been these for content and illustrations. Brave Little Seamstress, Carmine, A Little More Red, Sophie's Masterpiece, & Carrot Soup.
- How Brady and Colin are bonding now that big brother is in school. I expected this to happen and looked forward to it. It's just so funny how Brady asks Colin over a million questions everyday, expecting Colin to answer everyone which he does. BUT Colin is not advanced in his verbal skills so his answering is primarily in the yes form. Brady asks a question like I want to put this where Colin can't reach it "Colin (stretching his arm up high) can you reach this?" Colin says "Yes." Although he cannot reach it. So Brady reaches higher and asks again "Colin can you reach this?" Clearly Colin cannot reach this high but again says "Yes." Brady takes his brother's word and next stands on a chair to reach even higher... This kind of banter goes on all day.
- Naptime.
